Farm-to-Solar Complementary-Xinyi Haikou Solar Farm
In May 2019, Xinyi Light Energy used its own funds to build a pioneering "Agricultural and light complementary perennial Vegetable Base" in Qiongshan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. On August 30, 2021, Xinyi Light Energy made headlines on the front page of People's Daily, effectively solving the problem of growing vegetables by looking at the sky in Hainan Province. The project is planned to use about 50,000 mu of land, currently approved to be connected to the grid capacity of 300MW, annual power generation of 230 million KWH, equivalent to the annual electricity of 100,000 households, saving about 70,000 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions about 190,000 tons.
